Edwin J. Callahan

Palm Bay

Edwin J. Callahan, 76, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home in Palm Bay.

Edwin was born in Belleville, NJ on September 28, 1933 to the late John Joseph and Josephine Larson Callahan.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and later served in the Coast Guard. He was a Machinist for Windsor Manufacturing in Connecticut for 30 years and a former Sexton at Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Indialantic.

His family includes his wife of 53 years, Carmela; five children, Teresa M. Callahan, Diana M. Callahan, Patricia L. Callahan (The late James ) Wooten, John J. (Nicole Unser) Callahan and James P. Callahan; Seven grandchildren, Stephanie Callahan Parton, Jonathan W. Leary, Brianna M. Leary, Daniel J. Callahan, Joseph P. Callahan, Nicklaus A. Callahan and Evan J. Callahan; One great grandchild, Alex M. Parton; three brothers, John "Jack" Vincent (Catherine) Callahan, Joseph "Tootie" Callahan and Robert Callahan; a sister in law, Josephine Cavallaro (William) Nolin; two brothers in law, Elio (Nancy) Cavallaro and Anthony (Debra) Cavallaro and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palm Bay Funeral Home, 950 Malabar Road SE, Palm Bay.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road SE,, Palm Bay.
