Martha Landers

July 28, 1955 - January 10, 2010

Martha J. Landers

West Melbourne – Martha Joan Landers, 54, a loving sister and aunt, went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2010 after a long struggle with breast cancer.

Martha was born in Charleston, West Virginia, and relocated to Florida in 1985. Martha was a 1978 graduate of Marshall University (go Thundering Herd!) and a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She was employed at Harris Corporation, where she was a procurement supervisor. She attained her professional certification (Certified Purchasing Manager or CPM) in 2001.  During her professional career in Florida, she was employed by Dictaphone and later at MC Assembly and Test.

Martha’s family and church were the most beloved earthly things in her life. She is survived by sisters Connie Rockhold (Palm Bay, FL), Kay Good (Rock Hill, SC) and twin Mary Landers (West Melbourne, FL) her nephew Tim Landers (Viera, FL) and niece Kim Good-Lovin (Rock Hill, SC).

Martha was active in her neighborhood, serving multiple terms on the homeowner's association board of directors, including President.  She supported animal rescue efforts as a member of the US Humane Society.
