Rev. Clark Herbert Scott

November 17, 1947 - February 22, 2010

Port Orange, FL

Clark Herbert Scott was born November 17, 1947 in Princeton, Indiana to Herbert and Dolores Clark Scott. Surrounded by his loving and devoted family, he went to his Lord on February 22, 2010.

Clark was a graduate of Plainville High School in Plainville, IN, Vincennes University in VIncennes, IN, Louisville Bible College in Louisville, KY, and Emmanuel School of Religion with a Masters of Divinity in Johnson City, TN.

He married Cynthia of Johnson City, TN on June 15, 1974. She survives, along with their children Matthew Scott of Miami, FL and Elizabeth Scott of Johnson City, TN; his grandson Christopher Dellmo of Palm Bay, FL; and his sisters Marilyn Bratton of Plainville, IN, Marjorie Cox of Odon, IN, and Nancy Beckes of St. Paul, MN.

Clark served as a minister at First Christian Church in TItusville, FL from 1974 - 1977, Westshore Christian Church in Tampa, FL from 1978 - 1980, Palm Bay Christian Church in Palm Bay, FL from 1980 - 2001, and at Port Orange Christian Church in Port Orange, FL from 2003 - 2006. He served as staff Chaplain at South Brevard and Palm Bay Funeral Homes in Melbourne and Palm Bay, FL from 2001 - 2003.

Currently, Clark and Cynthia are members of the Port Orange United Church of Christ.

Funeral Information

A celebration of Rev. Clark Scott's life will be on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm at First Christian Church, 2880 W. Jay Jay Road, Titusville, FL. Further services for will be held in Indiana and Tennessee.

The family suggests memorials to Emmanuel School of Religion, One Walker Drive, Johnson City, TN, 37601.
