Melbourne, FL Phyllis N. Ballas, of Melbourne, FL died Tuesday, February 16, 2010. She was born and educated in Beverly, MA and was of the Episcopalian faith.
She retired after many years as a retail buyer for Jordan Marsh Co. (Boston, MA) and Daniel Low's (Salem, MA). Upon retirement, she moved to Punta Gorda, FL in 1979, and to Melbourne Beach, FL in 1989. She was a lover of music, all nature, and the ocean.
Survivors include her cousins Walter Gardner Derry, Carol Macleod, Constance Cooper, and Eleanor Longval. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Ballas.

A memorial service will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Sebastian by the Sea.
