Janet Y. Alix, 78, of Palm Bay, FL died peacefully at William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, FL. She was born July 24, 1932 in Worcester, MA to Ivan Leroy and Iola Florence Holt Hodgdon.

Her family was her life. They include daughters Sandra C. (Craig) Campbell and their children Danielle and Stephen Campbell, Lynne Garcia and her son Michael Garcia, Laura (Miguel) Estevill and their children Matthew and Michael Estevill; sister Geraldine (Francis) Tuccio and their daughter Joy Stewart, brother Ivan (Helen) Hodgdon and their children Ronnie Hodgdon and Patty Franko; and great grandchildren Alyssa, Logan, and Liliana Garcia. She had over 35 nieces and nephews, and several grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Melissa Anne Campbell and grandson Jean Paul Garcia; and her siblings Madlyne Santa Donato, Alice Clark, Donald Hodgdon, Roland Hodgdon, Carol Spanos, Raymond Hodgdon, and Norman Hodgdon.

Janet attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and had managed the cosmetics department at J.C. Penney, retiring in 1994.

Funeral Information

Her Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 28, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5310 S. Babcock Street, NE, Palm Bay, FL at 10:00 am with Rev. Bill Hanley celebrating.
