Frank King "Mac" McIntyre
November 11, 1920 - February 23, 2010
Palm Bay, Florida Frank King "Mac" McIntyre, 89, died unexpectedly at his home in Palm Bay FL on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
Born in Clarkston MI to the late Archie and Jessie McIntyre, he graduated from Clarkston High School in 1938 and later attended Michigan State receiving a degree in Accounting.
Mac served in the US Army during WWII, earning a bronze star, while serving in the European Theater. While in the Army he met his wife, Bernadette, who is also a veteran. He was a member of the Pontiac MI BPOE #810, and retired from Equifax, where he had worked as an Insurance Investigator.
He loved sports, rarely missing a sporting event that involved his children or grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, especially to England and Italy.
His family includes his wife of 62 years, Bernadette McIntyre; children, Jacqueline Strickland and her husband, Barry, Bruce McIntyre and his wife, Marte, and Larry McIntyre and his wife, Beth; sister, Mary Alice McIntyre; grandchildren, Johanna Strickland, Andee Strickland-Boundy, Molly McIntyre and Adam McIntyre; and his great grandchildren, William Strickland-Boundy and Hollie Strickland-Boundy.
Funeral Information
Services will be on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 10am at South Brevard Funeral Home, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne FL, conducted by Father Michael Farrell. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army.
