Thomas "Ed" Britton

March 28, 1943 - February 20, 2010

West Melbourne

Thomas "Ed" Britton, 66, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

Ed was born on March 28, 1943 in Oneida, NY to the late Carl and Rebecca Snyder Britton.

He earned his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Technology at Empire State University in Albany, NY. He served in the Air Force for 22 years and was a Logistics Engineer for Northrop Grumman, retiring in 2006 after 22 years. He was a member of the VFW, The Old Crows, the Air Force Association and the BPOE Elks Lodge 1744 in Melbourne.

His family includes his wife of 45 years, Mary; two sons, Carl Britton and Edward Britton; two grandchildren, Katrina Gilberg and Edward Allen Britton Jr.;a brother, Larry Britton and a sister, Betty Galavotti.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Britton and two brothers, Richard Britton and Roger Britton.

Funeral Information

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 22. 2010 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at South Brevard Funeral Home, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
