Ida "Boots" Keller
March 26, 1925 - July 29, 2010
Melbourne, Florida Ida “Boots”, was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 26, 1925 and went home to our Lord on Thursday, July 29, 2010.
Boots was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward of 60 years and her daughter, Theresa Keller Davis.
She is survived by her children, Christopher Keller, Elaine and her husband Phillip McCarthy, Susan and her husband Ron Keller, Patrick and his wife Carol Keller, and Stephen Keller; her grandchildren, Patrick Davis and his wife Brandi, Michelle Davis, Cristin Keller, Kathrine Keller, Michael Andrew Keller, Michael Patrick Keller and Sean Keller; her great grandchildren Presley, Patrick and Elizabeth Davis and Ava Joy and Christopher Keller; sister, Mary Robinson; and her brothers, Robert Simon and Gerald Simon.
Boots was a devoted Catholic and member of the Monday Morning Rosary Group in Melbourne. She was a wonderful mother and devoted wife and loved by all who met her. Her kindness and positive outlook was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Every person who came in contact with Boots was touched by her joy and her shinning spirit. Boots truly made this world a kinder and better place to live. She will be missed by all who knew her. The world will be a little less bright without her, but heaven has gained an angel. Boots’ favorite saying in times of stress or trouble was “This too shall pass”. She lived by those words and so must we.
Into Paradise may the angels lead her.
Funeral Information
Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010 from 4 to 8 pm, at South Brevard Funeral Home, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne. Rosary and prayer service at 6 pm with Father Tony Quinlivan. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00am at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 Harbor City Boulevard, Melbourne.
