May 12, 1923 - August 15, 2010

Cocoa

Grace Wilson Cocoa Grace went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the age of 87, after a long illness.

A symbol of strength for her ever expanding family, Grace overcame
adversity throughout her life to be come the woman she will always be remembered as. Grace raised three children on her own in New York City. She was also a temporary foster mother to 28 children for four years. At the age of 42, Grace began working as a switch board operator for NY Tel and eventually would attain a management position with AT&T Corporate Division, where she became an Executive Secretary. Grace retired from AT&T in 1986 and moved to Merritt Island, Florida. Grace was active in her church, Divine Mercy, where she served as a Minister to the Sick. After living on Merritt Island for 10 years, where she owned her own townhouse, she moved to Asbury Arms in Cocoa. Grace was well known in her community for being a friendly, approachable neighbor and a lovely person to spend time with.

Grace will be sadly missed by her surviving family. She is survived by her sister, Fanny Tooker, her three children, Sandra, Duane, Richard and his wife, Francesca. Grace has 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
