Alfred J. Eden

November 14, 1926 - February 22, 2010

Barefoot Bay, FL

Alfred J. Eden, 83, of Barefoot Bay, FL was born in Yonkers, NY and went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 22, 2010. He lived in Scotland for over 25 years and served in the British Army during WWII before returning to the US.

He lived in New York, and then in Rhode Island over 25 years before moving to Florida. He was a member of the Vero Beach Alliance church and active in the Worship Band. He also was a member of the Vero Beach and Barefoot Bay Organ Clubs. He enjoyed singing, dancing, playing the harmonica and organ, table tennis, horse shoes, and cards. He worked with church youth groups and adult pares and spares in NY, church Youth Pioneer Club, and the adult 5-5-0 Club in RI, Prime Time Seniors Group in FL, and had taught many Bible studies.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 54 years Edna Eden of Barefoot Bay, FL; son Jeffrey Edenof West Warwick, RI and daughter Joyce Winn of Narragansett, RI; sister Rhetta Kyle of Coral Springs, FL; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and 12 nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Vero Beach Alliance Church, 1701 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
