Herbert James Yost, SFC US Army Retired, 78, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010 at his residence in Palm Bay,

Herbert was born October 4, 1931 In Quakerstown. PA to the late Herbert and Martha Bishop.

He served in the US Army special forces during the Korean and Vietnam wars and retired as a Sergeant First Class after 20 years.

His family includes his son, Rocky Yost; two daughters, SSGT Jessica Hernandez, USAF and Christina Yost; three grandchildren, Makayla Hernandez, Alexz LaVorgna and Xander Hernadez; two sisters, Louise Vacha and Fay Kleman and the mother of his children, Susana Yost Boyter.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 23, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM followed by a service at 5:00 PM at South Brevard Funeral Home, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne, Internment with full military honors will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth.
